A supplier audit is the process used to demonstrate your level of control over subcontracted processes. These may be carried out during supplier approval or ongoing surviellance of subcontracted processes. It helps to identify risks and opportunities within the subcontracted activities.
A supplier audit adds value in several ways:
Improves communication between you and your suppliers
Improves the understanding of requirements between you and your suppliers
Ensure the maintenance of requirements and records
Demonstrates to an external auditor that you have control of subcontracted activities and monitor them
Early identification of issues and resolution before potential resulting problems
Supplier audits are a good method of ensuring that the supplier is following the agreed specifications for the subcontracted task and maintaining the expected controls and quality of services and products
SGR are able to provide an independent review of your suppliers performance with the aim of increasing performance and reducing risk.
